Posavski Paprikas - Fish soup from Posavina
Ingredients :

1 kg fish (fresh water)

4 medium onions (chopped)

4 cloves of garlic (chopped)

1 carrot thickly sliced

1 stick of celery (coarsely chopped)

2 small fresh chillies (finely chopped)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Vegeta
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 bay leaf
-
1 can peeled tomatoes (finely chopped)
-
half cup of oil
-
1 cup of dry white wine

Instructions :
Clean and rinse the fish in cold water and cut into large pieces. Heat
the oil in a large saucepan and add onions and garlic and fry them until
soft. Add carrots, celery, and fresh chilli and saute for 10 minutes. Now
add tomatoes, paprika, Vegeta, salt and bay leaf and stir. Place the fish
on top and cover with water. Stir gently and cook for 45 minutes
occasionally giving the saucepan a shake. Add wine and cook for a further
5 minutes. Remove from heat and serve with noodles. |
